The other day, I was surfing and I found this mega debate on Quora ‘who is more powerful jesus or shiva’

The Internet is a funny place.

Isn’t it

Or dare I say Hindu is a funny community

The Divine Essence of Jesus

There were all sorts of comments but Christians were clear

Jesus gave eyes to blind and even Cured Peter’s mother in law

He Cured a noble’s son and he Turned Water to Wine

Jesus also helped a leper or Cast out an unclean Spirit

So there is no question

without any doubt

Jesus is more powerful

Not only that, they did not hesitate to demean Lord Shiva

‘He could not even stand Bhasmasur, he cried for his dead wife and did bad things with many women’

Now, Hindus were making four kinds of comments

and read with me

It may look like crazy, but it is not

So the first set of Hindu [at least by their name] affirmed and said exactly what Christians were saying

even including the bad things about Lord Shiva

Guess what

There are many converted Hindus who still hold Hindu Names

But even those who are actually Hindu and believe in Hinduism, were saying one of the following 3 things

There is not even iota of confusion about Shiva being super powerful.

He is one of trinity and has immense power.

These people were mostly busy answering the allegation made on Bhagwan Shiva, but no one demean Jesus or Christianity

This practice is largely dominated by the converted lot

They could not understand Hindu values and now they also do not try to understand the Christian values as well.

Anyways, now there is another set of Hindus

So a lot of Hindus also said that it is an apple vs orange issue

While Shiva is the God himself, Jesus is the son of God

Now, it looks like, some Christians took it as an allegation and they replied by saying

‘ He is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God’

You see,

I am no expert on Christianity

But this looks like a copy of the Hindu concept that we call, deity

Only that the deity is more flexible on form and on number

I mean Hinduism said, when the purpose is connection, why settle with only one.

So we said

Let different people connect with different forms of the same God

And then came the twist and the most crazy one

So the 4th kind of comments said

Jesus and Shiva — basically both are same

Now this is coming purely from Hindus

And I would say those Hindus

who do not know a thing about Sanatan Dharma

So these are the people, who may accept any Tom Dick and Harry equivalent to our Bhagwan and may put ’em in our Mandirs.

and here I am not talking about Jesus

I am talking about Santoshi Maa, a typical bollywood movie creation that these type of Hindus has put into our temples.

And that is why for them, they can accept any fakirs, bairagi or pseudo story to accept as deity in a temple without any evaluation.

These peripheral level Hindu followers started following something without any consultation to any expert on Hindu Dharma and later start saying, you accept it as Hindu because we believe it.

So we need to understand, the actual problem is not from those who come at our gates asking for conversion.

The problem is actually these pseudo siculars who do not know a thing about their own Dharma.

For me, I am also of the opinion that there are no comparison between Jesus and Shiva

It is just a way what two community believes.

But I can say one thing for sure

This world is filled with funny people

They will copy and absorb Yoga, Dhyana, Ayurveda, Shalya Chikitsa, Kaamsutra, Tantra, and many more things from sanatan sanskriti

but will still keep questioning our sanskriti

Now what should we call these funny people,

They claim that our belief is better than your belief, they come and try to convert people by hook or crook

Whereas we do not involve into conversion, neither you find any conventional Hindu organisation getting involved into conversion

As a matter of fact, there are no conversion process here.

Sanatan Dharma just suggest to follow Hindu practices of non-violence, love and respect
